You can do it! - Russel and Patrick were awesome. There was five of us and our ages ranged from 5-62yrs. Safety was important which we appreciated. Our 5yr old was scared of the ocean and absolutely loves it now. Highly recommend.

Great experience for our grandaughter. - We signed our 11 year old grandaughter up for a surf lesson while visiting San Diego. She's had surfing lessons for the last 2 or 3 summers and this was her chance to surf in Southern California. Her instructor was wonderful. It was obvious that he was accessing her ability and gradually taking her out into deeper water and larger waves which she was able to handle. We were really pleased and she was very happy with her experience. I highly recommend this company.

First time surfers ... and it was great! - This was our fist time surfing, and we had a great time. Berkley was an excellent instructor who was really helpful. I was a bit nervous, and she made the whole experience fun and safe. I hope we get back to San Diego to do it again!

Yes, especially in tourist areas and with normal precautions, the Santa Catarina region is very welcoming and safe for visitors.
The climate is pleasant all year round, but for surfing, the summer months from December to March are ideal.
U.S. citizens do not require a tourist visa to enter Brazil for stays of up to 90 days due to a visa waiver agreement for tourists. However, if you plan to extend your stay beyond 90 days, you will need to apply for a tourist visa prior to your arrival. This visa can be applied for online or at Brazilian embassies/consulates. Our program lasts only 7 days, so U.S. visitors who are only participating in our program and remain within the visa waiver period do not need to worry about this requirement. Nevertheless, it is always wise to check visa requirements and any updates on entry policies well ahead of planning your trip.
The real (R$) is the official currency. It’s advisable to exchange some money before traveling or use local ATMs.
Portuguese is the official language, but English and Spanish are common in tourist areas. The package includes translator services.
