Great even for a more experienced surfer! - Highly recommend Pacific Surf School! They're one of the very few places that offer more than just beginner lessons. I took four solo lessons on the "outside" with Jack, and... Read More I progressed more than I had in four years on my own.
I also had the opportunity to watch other instructors with younger kids, families, and adults. They were so supportive, encouraging, and professional. It's awesome to see instructors get so excited for their students' successes!
The office and the beach site are both easy to find. Parking isn't bad in the mornings, but do allow 30 minutes just in case. The surfboards and wetsuits are all well maintained and good quality.
As a solo traveler it was nice having the school's photographer snap pics. I did not pay for the photo package ahead of time, instead I just bought the pics from my final session afterwards in the office. I do recommend booking the photo package if pics are important to you.
I would definitely return to Pacific Surf School and recommend it for both total newbies and beginner-intermediate surfers of all ages.
