Great experience with this surf lesson program. Booked online, super simple. Eric and Nick were our instructors...they were fantastic. My twins who have NEVER surfed before were up and surfing the waves within five minutes of hitting the water. Great coaching and encouragement. Thanks for a fantastic morning!

FAQs

Pacific Surf is the leading surf school around the world with our headquarters based in San Diego, California. We teach surfing lessons in many different surf locations and our top priority is providing the best surfing experience.

We have instructors from all over the world that are surf experts. They are all trained with Water Safety Courses, with over a thousand 5 stars reviews and coached to teach to all ages, specialized in beginners and intermediate students.

In some of our locations, we partner with the best schools that provide the same kind of high level service in surfing lessons.

The easiest way to book your lesson is online through our website, on this page. You will be able to check dates and times we have available and choose what best suits you.

Waikiki is a perfect beach break for you to practice the basics of surfing. While visiting one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii, we recommend taking surf lessons. With gentle waves, Waikiki is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers who want to adventure themselves to this amazing experience.

All surf lessons are one and a half hours. The surfboard, wetsuit, leash and rash guard are included.

The lesson starts with a land lesson. The surfing instructor will explain about water safety, board dynamics and dimensions, what to do and not to do and your stand on the board. After that you will enter the water with your surfing instructor to try the real thing, he/she will help place the board in the correct position and give you pointers.

A private surf lesson is a one-on-one lesson, which means an instructor just for you and more wave time. If your goal is really learning to surf and making it a habit, this is the best option.

A semi-private surf lesson means one instructor for a small group of two to three people. This is a great option if you want to learn how to stand up, ride some waves and have some fun!

A group surf lesson is an instructor for four to five people ratio. You would be with a small group, which can make it a more fun experience!

When you arrive for your surf lesson a wetsuit will be provided to you. You can wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing when going to the beach: boardshort, swimsuit or bikini, the wetsuit will go over.

Pacific Surf School Inc facilitates the booking of your surf lessons and camp in this location, but a partner surf school might be teaching the lesson. Read the full disclaimer here.
