If you are addicted to sports like us you are probably missing the endorphins and interaction that the outdoor activities can bring us.
When the health crisis ends it will be important to stay safe. We suggest outside sports that you can do on your own or with one more person.
Here are some of the activities that we recommend for after the quarantine. It is important to keep it safe in the beginning and stay with activities that don’t gather many people while everything goes back to normality.
#1 Surfing
Well, this one is our expertise! Surfing is a great sport to release endorphins while you are in contact with nature, and you can do it by yourself or accompanied.
#2 Stand-Up Paddling
You can learn Stand-Up Paddling very easily. This is a sport that also puts you in contact with nature and it is a great activity to help with anxiety. It will make you work on your balance and breathing while you contemplate beautiful views.
#3 Tennis
Tennis is a sport that you can play indoors or outdoors. You only need one more person and you will keep your distance since you are on opposite sides of the court. If you have a tennis court available for you, this is a great activity for after the quarantine.
#4 Hiking
If you miss nature this is the perfect activity for you. You can explore the outdoors by hiking new trails all around San Diego. We recommend an app called All Trails, it will show trails all over the country and will give you the specification of each one of them.
#5 Golf
This is a concentration sport that is easy to learn but hard to master.
You can play by yourself or with others, but even if you are playing solo it is a challenging sport. You can enjoy nature in one of the beautiful Golf Courses.
#6 Rock Climbing
This one is definitely not for the faint of heart. Although, if you live for adventure then maybe climbing a mountain of a low or high peak is exactly what you need after this lockdown.
We don’t really know how long it will take for the health crisis to pass, but we encourage you to look forward to the future and make plans for those better days.
We look forward to starting teaching again after the quarantine period, and when we do, we will make sure to keep our staff and students safe by teaching only private and semi-private surf lessons (in this case only with people of the same family).
We invite you to celebrate life and learn to surf with Pacific Surf School in San Diego when this quarantine ends.
Stay safe!
