You can do it! - Russel and Patrick were awesome. There was five of us and our ages ranged from 5-62yrs. Safety was important which we appreciated. Our 5yr old was scared of the ocean and absolutely loves it now. Highly recommend.

Great experience for our grandaughter. - We signed our 11 year old grandaughter up for a surf lesson while visiting San Diego. She's had surfing lessons for the last 2 or 3 summers and this was her chance to surf in Southern California. Her instructor was wonderful. It was obvious that he was accessing her ability and gradually taking her out into deeper water and larger waves which she was able to handle. We were really pleased and she was very happy with her experience. I highly recommend this company.

First time surfers ... and it was great! - This was our fist time surfing, and we had a great time. Berkley was an excellent instructor who was really helpful. I was a bit nervous, and she made the whole experience fun and safe. I hope we get back to San Diego to do it again!

Group lessons work well at any time of the day, but we recommend morning sessions to take advantage of the gentler waves and the quiet beach atmosphere.
Bring sunscreen, a towel, water, and your enthusiasm! We provide all the necessary surfing equipment.
Surf lessons must be canceled 48 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. Check our full cancellation policy for more details and any exceptions.
Yes, all our instructors are professionally certified and have CPR and Lifeguard training. They are dedicated to providing the best learning experience for you and your group.
We recommend that participants in group lessons be at least 5 years old and know how to swim. Our instructors are great at adapting lessons for different ages and skill levels.

Meet your instructor directly on the beach in front of the Wayfarer Hotel, located at 707 Pacific Beach Drive, San Diego CA 92109. Arrive 10 minutes before the lesson time to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes late will be considered No-Shows and will not be eligible for a refund. Make sure to arrive on time to make the most of your surf lesson!
