The “After School Program” is specifically designed for the local children and teens of San Diego, focusing entirely on education and engagement. From beginners learning the fundamentals of surfing to more experienced surfers polishing their techniques, this program caters to the specific needs of every student. Lessons include maneuvers and turns, wave strategies, comprehensive knowledge of wave physics, beach environment, and competition strategies.

Program POLICY
– This is a monthly program: all credits must be used by the end of the month.
– Minimum of 3 students to start the program.
– Ratio of 3 students per instructor.
– No substitutions or sharing of sessions are allowed.
– Cancellations or rescheduling must occur at least 24 hours in advance.

You can do it! - Russel and Patrick were awesome. There was five of us and our ages ranged from 5-62yrs. Safety was important which we appreciated. Our 5yr old was scared of the ocean and absolutely loves it now. Highly recommend.

Great experience for our grandaughter. - We signed our 11 year old grandaughter up for a surf lesson while visiting San Diego. She's had surfing lessons for the last 2 or 3 summers and this was her chance to surf in Southern California. Her instructor was wonderful. It was obvious that he was accessing her ability and gradually taking her out into deeper water and larger waves which she was able to handle. We were really pleased and she was very happy with her experience. I highly recommend this company.

First time surfers ... and it was great! - This was our fist time surfing, and we had a great time. Berkley was an excellent instructor who was really helpful. I was a bit nervous, and she made the whole experience fun and safe. I hope we get back to San Diego to do it again!

FAQs
Our program is geared towards children and teens aged 6-16, of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced surfer, we have the perfect lessons for you.
Sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Pacific Beach.
We provide all essential surfing equipment, including surfboard, wetsuit, UV protection, rash guard, and leash.
Bring sunscreen, a towel, plenty of water, and snacks to keep your energy up during the lesson.
We maintain a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention and safety
Yes, all our instructors are professionally certified and hold CPR and Lifeguard certifications. They are dedicated to providing the best learning experience.
Participants arriving more than 10 minutes late will be considered no-shows and no refunds will be provided. Please ensure to arrive 10 minutes before the session starts.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session via email for a full refund. Sessions not used within the month chosen at purchase do not rollover to the next month.
Yes, sessions can be rescheduled within 48 hours Monday – Thursday for a $35 fee per person. Email pacificsurf@pacificsurf.org to reschedule. We do not accept rescheduling requests via phone.
If bad weather or rain occurs, we will reschedule or refund sessions at our discretion to ensure everyone’s safety.
No, sessions cannot be shared or split between multiple students.
Yes, this is a monthly program. All lesson credits must be used by the end of the month, as there is no rollover.
Yes, campers must be picked up promptly at the end of camp each day. There is a 5-minute grace period. After these 5 minutes, you will be charged $5 for every 10 minutes your child remains in our care.
We do not offer refunds or store credits for photographs after the purchase completion.
Lesson Packages cannot be returned, refunded, redeemed for cash or credit, and are non-transferable to other products. They also cannot be split between multiple students.
