Pacific Surf School
Safety Protocols for Covid-19

Surf Camps

We are following new protocols to maximize staff and students safety during the pandemic crisis:

● The surf camp group will be split into smaller groups. Each small group will be limited to 12 campers with 4 surf instructors and will operate self-sufficiently as its own group.
The groups will be determined based on age, experience, skill level and will not intermingle/mix and they will be spread out. Check-in and check-out will also be separated by group.

● Campers will remain in their same groups all week.

● Campers must bring their own face mask, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, lunch, water, etc. (we will also have extra masks and sanitizer available)

● All staff and campers are required to wear face masks at all times while on land.

● Temperature checks (using a non-contact thermometer) will be made upon arrival on the first day for all campers and staff. Pacific Surf School will send home campers and staff with a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, cough or other COVID-19 symptoms.

● Campers and staff must sanitize hands upon arrival, before lunch, after lunch, and before checking out. Hand sanitizer will be available and easily accessible.

● Staff and campers will continue to practice social distancing by working to maintain a distance of 6ft apart when on land and in the water as much as possible. Staff may come closer than 6ft to children when necessary to assist them.

● Surfboards and all surf camp gear such as wetsuits and rash guards will be sanitized twice a day; first before use and again when returned to Pacific Surf vehicle.

● Campers will be instructed to have no physical contact with staff or other participants.

● If employees or students have been recently ill, or they are obviously displaying signs of illness and concern, they will be not allowed to proceed forward. Further, we will suggest they seek medical assistance.
